No. Searching, browsing businesses and listings, and reading job adverts all work without one. You need an account to save things, to send an enquiry that keeps a record, to apply for a job on MagodoPlus, or to list a business.

Free to use, and free to list a business on. There is a paid package for businesses that want to post without a limit, and paid advertising placements. Neither buys verification and neither skips review.

Lagos. Magodo, Ikeja, Ojodu, Yaba, Surulere, Lekki and the areas around them. If your area is not listed, nothing is hiding it — no business there has joined yet.

That somebody at MagodoPlus checked a specific thing and confirmed it. The badge always names the check — an identity document, a CAC registration, or a physical location — because those say different things and one word for all three would let the narrowest stand for the strongest.

No. It confirms who somebody is, not how good they are, what they charge, or how a particular job will go. Read the reviews, ask questions, and treat a badge as one piece of information rather than the whole answer.

No. Applying is free on every package including the free one, and paying for a package or an advertising placement does not verify a business, speed up its review, or make approval more likely.

That a business paid for visibility. Both are labelled on the listing itself. Neither is a statement about whether the business is genuine.

Report it, and tell your bank and the police as well. MagodoPlus can take a listing down, suspend an account and record what happened so the same thing does not happen to somebody else. It cannot recover money, and it will not pretend it can.

Report it. Asking applicants for money is one of the reasons that goes to the front of the moderation queue rather than into the same pile as a duplicate posting. Do not pay it.

No. We do not tell them who reported them. If you gave an email address it is used to ask you a question and nothing else.

Create a business account, fill in your profile, and post your listings. Every listing is reviewed by an administrator before it appears, on every package.

It is waiting for review, or it was not approved and the reason is on it in your dashboard. Paying more does not skip the review or shorten it.

Yes, and this is what the identity check exists for. You do not need a registered company or a shop. Your address is needed so it can be checked, and it is never published — leave “show this address on my public profile” off and your profile shows the area you work in instead.

Yes, if bank transfer is switched on you will see it beside card payment when you choose a package. You send the transfer, tell us the details and attach the receipt, and your package starts once somebody here has found the payment on our bank statement. A receipt on its own does not start it.

Ask in Account Settings. The request is reviewed before anything is destroyed, so an account cannot be wiped by somebody who got hold of your session for five minutes.

They are stored privately, seen only by the staff reviewing your application, and never shown on your profile or published anywhere. An identity number is encrypted and shown only to the reviewer holding your document beside it.
